The journey of my literacy development through primary education and university has revealed areas of growth and has enlightened me as to my abilities and areas in need of improvement. Through this assignment I have learnt the concepts of literacy and what these aspects are. It is relevant for students to have a greater understanding of literacy as it will also benefit them in school and life thereafter. I have also realised it is important to make sure my students are all functionally, personally, critically and culturally literate citizens.
